Renault Kadjar content film and stills...

Recently back from shooting a BTS and stills for Renault Kadjar content films. Lake District was astoundingly beautiful when its wasn't raining!...not quite Storm Desmond but bad enough to put three of the productions cameras into early retirement!

The crew was amazing and put together some lovely films over a tough six day shoot. Will post the film shortly

Vicki is going to the London Screenwriters Festival

Screen Shot 2015-10-19 at 10.12.37.png

Scissorhands very own Vicki Murrell is attending this years London Screenwriters festival. From a pool of many hundreds she has been selected as one of 12 people to pitch her script to a panel of industry professionals and agents. Music biopics are always popular, and with successful films like Straight Outta Compton and the Coen brothers Inside Llewyn Davis still fresh in the mind, we are hoping Vicki's Gram Parsons script hits the mark. Go Vicki....

Magic Mike Woodward joins Scissorhands

Fantastically talented Director and Editor, Michael Woodward, has joined Scissorhands. Mike directs as part of 'Jones' who's debut feature has just completed a nationwide cinema release and is now available on demand.

As well as being able to wear that all important Director's hat Mike is an extremely versatile film craftsman with excellent editing and research skills. With his flexible and personable approach to any project he turns his mind to, he's the type of film creative worth his weight in gold. We are very excited that Mike has joined Scissorhands.

'Making Of' for Co-operative Bank Ad

Just come back from a really fantastic job in Tanzania.

Knucklehead got me on board to film and edit a 'Making of' and additional films for a commercial they were making for The Co-operative Bank. Finn McGough Directing and Produced by Tim Katz.

A lot of the ad is built around the connection the Co-operative has with Oxfam so we spent almost a week in a very remote village casting and filming, with a further days shoot in Arusha.

As jobs go it was an extraordinary one and I got to meet some amazing people in places that even the most adventurous tourist would struggle to get to. Back in London now and of course it's nice to be able to walk five mins for a bottle of craft beer but also a little bit dull....

Edie and the Aliens at the ICA

Edie and the Aliens plays today at the ICA as part of their 'Family Affairs' themed slot. Late notice but I'm sure you can pick up tickets

Very good of the LSFF team to select the film and it's tremendously heartening to have a film play at such an excellent festival. Just need to make one more selected short and it'll be a hat-trick and I can retire happy...

Behind-the-Scenes for Garnier

We recently produced this little 'making of' for Garnier's new commercial, 'The Great British Downpour' and rain it did...it's the only time we've ever seen a rain machine out-rained!

The crew did an amazing job making the heavy rain seem like a light summer shower and a blustery winter's evening seem like high summer.
